A few eats form my previous stay in San Francisco.
Super Duper Burgers. Pretty delicious and where I first saw the pressing patty technique.
I insisted we hit up Five Guys as my roomie had yet to taste the goodness. Drove out to the Tanforan Mall in San Bruno.
Umami Burger. Umami means savoury flavour, it is well named.
Marina Subs. A true Maestro is in charge of making these subs. It seems like he could do it blindfolded. A human Machine dealing out delectable, tubular, goodness.
Deep Dish from Patxi’s Pizza. This was A M A Z E B A L L S. They offer many sides including Burrata. Which I had not had for years. They even have the option of ordering your pie half-baked so you can finish it up at home and work with the timing of your choice.
Met a friend in the city and he took me to this quaint Chinese place. Not only is General Tso’s Chicken an Americanised dish, but it is quite different form different places. This lightly coated version on steamed broccoli was a departure from the deep-fried, crunchy, syrup coated ones I was more familiar with from Maryland/DC. I enjoyed it.
